Don’t you find it annoying when idiots will go on amazon.com and review something and say absolutely nothing about the manufactured goods they are reviewing? They will just rant on and on about things reviewers do that disturb them or talk about how they don’t like the company that made it, or even talk about how amazon.com did a terrible job delivering it. I can’t count the number of times I’ve read reviews that give a manufactured goods one star only because it by no means arrived or it was broken when it came in the mail. I despise it. These reviewers who say nothing about the manufactured goods simply drive me crazy! They give a manufactured goods one star, both sucking in people interested in the manufactured goods and lowering the manufactured goods’s rating without even saying anything about the manufactured goods. Half the time they probably don’t even own the manufactured goods.
Oh, by the way, I don’t really have anything to say about this manufactured goods, I just wanted to get that off my chest. I don’t even own a PS3 so I’m not really qualified to pass judgment on it.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! THIS GAME SUCKS!
It’s a repackage of cod3. I can’t believe here is even one excellent review.
***ADDITIONAL REVIEW***
My first critique was by no means posted, my following was not honest to you guys. This is my third review.
This game to me was an insult to my intelligence.
That said apparently you will like it or despise it and opinions vary a fantastic deal. I like wwII games. I like modern warfare. My 2 favorite all time games are cod4 and terrible company. I didn’t expect WAW to be cod4 quality. I expected it to be surpass.
Let’s place up your sleeve that the guns in wwII were different, not as accurate, times were grittier and darker (what? today’s wars are cleaner and brighter?), the reload times are slower. I can appreciate all that and so can previous game makers - but not Treyarch. The engine on this game sucks. The physics suck. The sound quality and sound research Treyarch did sucks. The game to me didn’t flow well. I felt like I was in an invisible tunnel and couldn’t really do what I wanted. I couldn’t flank unless it was scripted. Now that I reflect about it, cod4 was the same but it just wasn’t as apparent I guess. Very frustrating not being able to jump sandbags or climb small berms. It felt like fps gameplay from 5 years ago not post cod4. CG engines have advanced too far to go back to something like that.
Here is a small list of dislikes:
Grenades explode in poofs
Sound look sound like they were pulled off of a digital library rather than researched and re-made. I’ve heard people excuse this as being wwII and the sounds weren’t as full. Oh no? WWII wasn’t experienced through a tin radio. Men were really here experiencing explosions and guns and tanks that made the earth rumble.
Machine gun nests sound like a cd skipping.
The motion of the fps is not fluid and natural. It feels very arcade and stiff.
The swinging of the knife or bayonet is very quick and stiff with a very digital sound look. So is throwing grenades. It just doesn’t feel like you’re physically throwing something. It feels like you’re pressing a button on a controller (I know you are).
Enemies progeny from thin air. Then when you shoot them, more progeny from the same location.
THIS IS MY OPINION.
Here’s what I recommend, rent the game because you might like it.
I was just expecting to go forward as far as technology, not backwards.
I reflect the next gen fsp needs to incorporate cod4 quality graphics and fluidity, destructible environments, and open environments so you can choose your own path of attack.

My review may not be all clear or in proper english but then again I don’t work for Activision. If you are looking for a gift for your child or grandchild you may want to stand clear of COD world at war. It has very graphic and violent scenes. It’s basically a beefed up black and white version of COD 2. Based upon the success of COD 4, a lot of people pre-prearranged this game and so you can find thousands of used copies for sale at half of their original price. If you are like me, you didn’t spend a few thousand dollars for a high def tv and HDMI cable to watch black and white movies. Just because COD world at war was released after COD4 doesn’t mean that it’s surpass. I rather COD4, areas may possibly be better but I really like being able to seeing my video games in 1080p color. If you have your making a bet console hooked up to an ancient black and white TV then World at War is not a terrible choice. Thank you for listening.
